Then came various others including BSA, Triumph, Itom and even a Vespa. I gave up bikes when I was 19 and only put on the leathers again in June 2005 when I finally saw a Gilera road bike that I liked and could afford. Image 5 shows my very first Italian connection. Not a Gilera, but a brand new 50cc Itom racer which I had converted for road use. I used the Itom for fun and regularly rode it down to Brands Hatch and Crystal Palace to watch the racing. |
